The Hallicrafters was a US based and
owned company that specialized in high quality communications gear, most namely their receivers!
They were known for being one of the first legendary makers of both shortwave and ham radios! The
company began making their first ham radios dating all the way back to early 30s! Before World War
II the company was already a leading amateur radio brand worldwide and they even built communications
equipment for the US military during World War II!
Luckily, Hams tend to take care of the
gear very well, so even today you can find used Hallicrafters ham radios in decent original or even
