The Kenwood TH-F6A is actually a "tribander" (2 meter, 220, and 440mhz all come with it) handheld transceiver (HT) with a full 5 watts of RF output!  It also has one of the most powerful batteries you'll find on a HT.  It comes with a 7.4 volt, 2000mah (however some serial numbers may have a slightly smaller 1500mah) lithium battery, (pretty impressive for such as small package huh)!  Lithium batteries have the best size to power ratio on the market and this battery is meant for some serious talk and standby time!  Its design also meets military 810 standards in both vibration, shock and water resistance so this would should be pretty hard to break!
